Andrew Hersam, RCP has been transforming people, organizations and businesses for over 30 years.  He created RE/COACH in 2017 as a recovery coaching center-of-excellence to help business leaders & their families struggling with addiction.  With a mission to “inspire & enable individuals to improve their lives and the world around them”, RE/COACH is the premier provider of discreet & confidential executive recovery coaching and consulting services for alcohol & substance use recovery.  RE/COACH is nationally available and locally based in Connecticut, New York City as well as Vail and Aspen, Colorado.  

Andy and his team’s broad range of coaching and business experience enables them to work in close partnership with executives and leaders.  RE/COACH has worked with entrepreneurs to the C-Suite, from SMB to Fortune 500 and across a range of professions, including law, medical; banking/private equity; media; retail & hospitality; technology and real estate.

In addition to supporting the patients of leading clinicians in NY & CT, Andy regularly provides services to leading recovery and treatment organizations including O’Connor Professional Group (OPG); Sterling Recovery; The Progessive Institute and Silver Hill Hospital.  Hersam is also the founding chairman of both (ARC) the Association of Recovery Coach Professionals, an independent non-profit dedicated to leadership & professional development in professional peer support and of NCRC, a specialized recovery community model serving affluent communities and families.  

Andy has taught & mentored over 200 recovery coach professionals in either the CCAR and/or McShin curriculums.  He has earned the highest qualification in recovery coaching (RCP) and is current & qualified in multiple states (CPRSS) and nationally (RCP, NAADAC).   He holds a BA in Politics from Ithaca College and holds a professional certificate from Stanford University.

Prior to his success in recovery coaching, Andy’s ability to inspire people to believe in what’s possible was developed during his career as a recognized media & technology executive. He’s held senior roles at disruptive giants like Facebook (FB) and Blackberry (BBRY); Wheels Up (UP) and helped transform brands and businesses like Sports Illustrated, SKI Magazine and Runner’s World.  His brand’s have been ranked number one on Adweek’s Hot List and named to Advertising Age’s A-List.  Hersam was also recognized as publisher-of-the-year by The Delaney Report.
